Who We Are

In 2018, Lawn Care with a Purpose was started as a way to provide living wage jobs to families we met through Corners Academy, an after school tutoring program. We surveyed parents and found the most common occupation was lawn care. So we began hiring parents, paying them an annual, living wage salary to allow them to work less, earn more, and also give them paid vacation so they could spend more time with their families.

Our teammates’ wages have increased significantly since 2018. Our wages range from $17/hour to $25/hour, which is over 40% higher than when we began. We are thankful that our clients pay more than other lawn care providers because we are Lawn Care with a PURPOSE.

In addition, 10% percent of all revenue is donated to Corners Academy, allowing the students who need the most help in school get it with after school tutoring focused on reading and math through individualized, small groups led by part-time teachers.
